Dave's column on the outdoors, often accompanied with photographs by Mary Gayle, is published weekly in the North of Boston Newspaper group. Their work appears regularly in the Virginia Sportsman, The Florida Sportsman, and many other outdoor-oriented publications. They are outdoor people specializing in adventure travel. Mary Gayle, a former housing contractor, is a certified Florida Master Naturalist, was one of the originating members of the Coastal Conservation Association in Florida, captained an all-women’s boat in fishing tournaments, and is an avid fly caster, hiker, photographer, painter and potter. Dave was a college administrator, former bear and bird hunting guide, a licensed captain, avid skier, fly fisherman, skeet shooter, sailboat racer, golfer, poet and photographer. Both love fly fishing, travel, bridge, good food and wine, and outdoor adventure of any kind.
